Admittedly, I know little about Dwayne Slay other than he's a safety from Texas Tech whom the Bears just signed as an undrafted free agent. However, if this video is any indication, he might just fit in quite nicely in the Bears' secondary. Check out the hit he lays on a dude from Kansas State and then soak in the praise from the announcers. That's nasty.

Slay has size (6-3, 216) and was the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year while causing eight fumbles. The kid may just be a pleasant surprise. Supposedly, his time in the 40 wasn't impressive and that cost him in the draft, but we all know how overrated workout numbers can be.
Besides, what a great last name Slay is for a headhunter. I'm liking this pickup.
