Valuev Quietly Remains Unbeaten

The story I consider to be arguably the most underrated in sports at the moment unveiled a new chapter last night when Nikolai Valuev pounded on Owen Beck and won in three rounds via TKO. As I've mentioned before in here, I remain perplexed as to why Valuev has yet to capture the imagination of not only boxing fans, but of sports fans in general, or at least of people who are intrigued by men who seem to be half animal.

Granted, Valuev hasn't fought many big name fighters, but is it his fault that the heavyweight divsision continues to waver in obscurity with no true characters or talent? Valuev is the size of a small house and is killing dudes. And he looks like something out of a movie. He's that freakish looking, that big, that scary.

And 44-0 is 44-0.

It can't be long until this is a big story, right? It's a damn shame the heavyweight division is such a bore these days because Valuev is just begging to be a big, big deal. (Pun intended.)
