On A Roll

It looks as though that little speed bump the White Sox encountered a few weeks ago is in the rearview mirror. The Pale Hose swept the Reds over the weekend - rolling up 28 runs in three games without the us of a DH! - to cap a 6-1 road trip, which has me all giddy here.

They've now won consecutive series against the Tigers, Indians, Rangers, and Reds. Four quality teams. Most importantly, Jon Garland has been shaking off his early-season mediocrity, taking a shutout into the ninth inning yesterday. The Garland from 2005 is a necessity and it looks like he may be returning.

Looking good.

Now if only the Tigers would fall of the pace. Speaking of which, thanks a lot, Cubs. Way to show up over the weekend. You just couldn't do the Sox any simple favors, could you?
