Poland 2 Costa Rica 1



Not much to say about this meaningless game between two teams that had already been eliminated. Such a situation is often good for a high-scoring affair, but as disappointing as both teams have been, I guess it isn't surprising that they failed on this front as well.

One good thing is that there was no violence or trouble. We all know how these two nations have been at each other's throats for centuries. You can never tell what's going down when the Poles and Ticos get together, and it usually isn't good.

I was worried.
